Julie AasmyrPic

Julie Aasmyr (aus-meer) is starting her fifth consecutive year on the WCJH Board and second year as President. Julie chaired Hospitality for two years before she was the VP of Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS). She served two consecutive years as a member of the WCJH Campus Advisory Team (CAT) and is a 2021 Katy Leadership Graduate. Julie still volunteers at her elementary school library - a committee she co-chaired for several years. She and her husband, Harry, have lived in Katy for ten years and have 3 children.  This will be the second (and hopefully) final year with kids at three different campuses and schedules! Before focusing on volunteering, Julie got her Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management and worked as a Manager for over fifteen years with a focus on Records Management in the legal sector. Her specialty is building successful teams with long-term vitality. She served as President of the Houston Area Health Information Management Association (HAHIMA) in the late 1990's, and she worked as a part-time fashion consultant while her kids were small. She is still considered a "go to" for fashion advice from her close friends and family; however, don't let that mislead you -- she can be seen out and about with no make-up, athleisure, and messy hair (don't care)!

First VP – Membership:

Michelle Brooks

Michelle Brooks is starting her fourth year on the Executive Board at WCJH. Previously, Membership Assistant and third year as the Membership VP. She has been a Katy ISD PTA member since 2011 and had many roles in the PTA - Secretary, Historian, Junior Achievement, Grade-level Coordinator, Homeroom Coordinator, Homeroom Parent, Volunteering in the Library, and wherever needed. I am also an instructor at Evolve Lagree. Her family has lived in Katy for 16 years. Michelle has 12 and 15 year old children, and every chance we get, we try to spend our downtime in Austin. She is a die-hard Chicago Bears fan!

2nd VP – Fundraising:

 KymNoska PTAPic

Kimberly “Kym” Stuart-Noska is serving her first year as Fundraising VP for WCJH PTA. For the 2020-21 school year, Kym worked with Jurie Folse to create the wonderful Night Under the Stars for the 8th grade celebration. During her kids’ elementary days, Kym served as VP Fundraising for 2 years at Wolman Elementary, chairperson for the Father-Daughter Dance and filled any other position as needed to serve.  During the 2019 school year (before it was cut short), Kym was a part of Leadership Katy. In 2020, she was honored to receive a Lifetime Membership Award to the PTA from Wolman Elementary. When she’s not volunteering or serving as a glorified Uber driver to her kids’ activities, Kym is licensed attorney and a shareholder at Crain Caton & James, PC and practices employment law and commercial litigation. Kym and her husband Doug have lived in Katy for 13 years and have children ages 14 and 11. Kym enjoys (but is not very graceful at) skiing with her family during Spring Break, laying out on Ft. Lauderdale beach (you can take the girl outta Florida, but you can’t take Florida outta the girl), book club and cooking her families’ Italian recipes for others.
